본문 Many consumers are surprised because of the 2010 imported cosmetics average clearance report from Health-Welfare Committee. Famous imported brands, are called Luxury cosmetics make unreasonable profit when they imported into Korea. It is unfair if prices are twice or triple than original price, but some of brands are selling more than 20times of prices. People involved in cosmetic industry said "Clearance price doesnt contain brand royalty or research and development cost." to protest difference between clearance price and production cost. However, domestic industry officials said global enterprise skillfully use the characteristic of Korea market that more expensive, sell better. [Weekly Trade 2012.03.02]
Selling price of cosmetics is inflated especially in Korea But still the faith in ‘expensive cosmetic is high.
This phenomenon comes from the belief that high-price represent the quality.
Factually most of Korean women check price or function instead of ingredient when they consume cosmetics. Korea Food & Drug Administration and Green Consumer Network in Korea research <Consumer awareness of cosmetics> for 2066 of 20s to 60s women cosmetic consumer from August 1st to 15th last year. The result of research, 24.6% of respondent answered Don’t check manufacturer and importer’. Also follow ‘Instructions for use’(19.3%), ‘phrase for function’(17.8%), ‘Due date of production’(13.7%), ‘volume and weight’(13.4%). However 88.9% of respondent answered ‘check the price’ and 78.0% answered ‘check the function’.

Consumers buying behavior is decided by price‘. Because of expectation that expensive cosmetics are better than others.
So, Did expensive cosmetics give us more satisfaction? That’s why the price in Korea market is so expensive?
Develop various beauty products to satisfy consumers wants and needs.
Can find many kinds of products in the markets
Various level of cosmetic brand will have different price level. And satisfaction of cosmetic spending will be different.
cosmetics industry is fashionable and necessary industry around the world especially to female consumers.
Second,the issue we choose is very close to peoples daily life.
What are we expecting from this project?
Use the knowledge we learned in the statistics management class Understanding how to analyses the data we collect and how to use formula to get the correct result.
Verify expensive price of cosmetics is fair to consumer.
First, level of income is a very important condition for any kind of purchase.
Second, cosmetic is a kind of consumable product especially to female. And the cost of cosmetic may have some relationship with the peoples economic base.
Third, spending more is not means people will have the same or higher satisfaction. On the other hand, the satisfaction on cosmetics spending is not in direct proportion to the money people cost on cosmetic.
